The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a fallen short in the new design. The metal band looks identical to the Apple as well as the speaker and the headphone jack being placed at the bottom of the phone. The camera protrudes out of the back of the phone. This makes it susceptible to getting scratched and distressed. In their efforts to keep the phone as flat as possible Samsung has left little room for a battery so that has gotten smaller than the Galaxy S5.
On the good side, the display is 5.1 inches and has more pixels that before a whopping 1440 x 2560. It also has a higher PPI of 577. That is higher than the Galaxy Note 4. A PPI of 577 means it has the sharpest display available on the market today. Outdoor visibility is particularly strong with the screen display on this phone compared to the competitors. All of this brilliance comes with a cost of shorter battery life and a higher priced phone.
It is running Samsung own octa-core Exynos CPU. It has 3GB of RAM that backs up the four 1.5GHz and the four 2.1GHz cores. This is a very powerful and fast phone.
The fingerprint scanner has improved over the Galaxy S5. A single light touch is all that is needed to open the phone. It is amazingly accurate and rarely ever fails. It is comparable to the Apple. That is a big improvement over last year’s model.
The Galaxy S6 has a high price that we are not sure is justifiable for what it has done with the new version of the phone. Yes, it powerful, fast and a sleeker design but we think that for money the battery life should last longer and we are not sure that the display, although magnificent, warrants the extra price.
